About Me Page Help

meWhen creating a bio sheet or about me page you need a professional looking photo and share both your professional resume as well as personal information on what makes you unique within the industry and why prospects should work with you.

On a blog we commonly refer to this as our “about me” page. What we call it isn’t as important as the information we are trying to give to our prospects. We want them to know our job history, what we can and cannot do. We want to come across as personable so we build our know, like and trust factor with them. Then we want to share with them why they want to do business with you.

So a successful bio sheet or “about me” page will have a professional photo or a head shot with you smiling. A short resume or personal information which will inform your prospects about you, information that will help your prospects to like, know and trust you. And then information that will set you apart from others in your field so that they will want to do business with you. A great place to have this on your blog is a separate page titled so it is easy to be found by your prospects and readers.

I go in and play with mine too. I guess that is part of the work is going in and adding or changing it as we learn.

Well, Shawn, I will need to review and look at my various “about pages!” Thanks for the information. Even though it is said a lot, the rehearsing of “know, like and trust” are valuable concepts to have in the background. Have a super day!
