How To Combat the Beast

Have you ever felt attacked and personally violated by something a stranger has done? I felt this way not too long ago as I was working on my business. As it often happens to many of us I had my nose down to the grindstone working away when this assault happened. It came out of the blue and I was completely unprepared to protect myself! Well as I was to learn it might of came from out of the blue but the damage had been done long before I felt the impact of what had happened.

I was frustrated, I was angry…I was scared! My flight reaction kicked into gear and I was ready to run. But since there really was no place to go and I felt myself being backed into a corner flight turned into fight quickly. How dare they! I am not going to let some unknown come into my business and make the rules. They where not going to have the power to make me react how they wanted. This was mine and I was in charge. (Admittedly, I was shaking and weak kneed but still in charge.)

Have you ever been ambushed and left stunned? Afterwards there is a feeling of, we have to protect ourselves and make it so that doesn’t happen to us again. Learning how to wrap a safety net around ourselves for protection. Staying informed is another important key to not letting ourselves get taken advantage of. Staying ahead of the bad guys and being smarter then they are. It is also key using different tools for our safety. Outwitting and outsmarting our opposition.

By now you might be wondering what kind of attack I endured. It wasn’t a physical attack of my body but an attack on my WordPress site. On Monday, November 19th at 8 pm central time I am going to share how to defeat the foe of WordPress hackers. I can help you learn some of the lessons of protecting yourself before the attack, why its import to stay informed and what tools you can use to combat the beast. Be watching you will get an invitation from facebook.

  1. I don’t know what solution you will reveal, Shawn, but I get at least weekly messages of “too many log in attempts – address blocked for 72 hours.” WP has some great plug ins to foil hackers. For some reason Russia has been trying to get into my site for months. Go figure.
