Marketing on Sites Like Fiverr

SRS Virtual AssistantToday we are continuing our talk on marketing and finding unique and different ways to get our businesses out there. For those of us who sell services or arts and crafts here is an unusual way to market your business. What about joining a marketplace such as Fiverr at and becoming a seller. If you have never been to one of these marketplaces, it is where you can list a job/service that you can do for a customer. At Fiverr you have to pay the beginning fee of at least five (5) dollars but the fee can go up depending on what you would like to add to the original job. You won’t make a lot of money on this site but what it will do is give you exposure to customers. If you do a good job you will have loyal customers who will follow you off of Fiverr and start paying you more money for your services from your website. (I know I have been one of those customers.)

This is a great place for anyone who does some kind of computer work or arts and crafts. You can offer anything that deals with gifts such as cards, to homemade jewelry, graphics and design, video and animation, online marketing, writing and translation and advertising.

I have used Fiverr many times to buy different services but have not listed any jobs for me to do. I do know that they have a grading scale that is important for the sellers because it gives buyers more knowledge on how good their experience was. There are many other companies out there that provide the same type of marketplace. Following are 10 other places for you to check out. 1.,,,,,,,, and

  1. Hi Shawn,
I’ve heard about this idea before – although I’ve never used it myself.
I’m going to use this post as a nudge to reconsider if it would work for me.

Well good luck with it Gordon. I have bought from it but haven’t sold on it yet myself so hopefully it will be the nudge for both of us.

I’ve used Fiverr, but never considered selling on it. Maybe I should consider it… Do they have any local listings?

Hi Liz, I don’t believe they have local listings. So if you do crafts or have something to mail you would have to take that into consideration. Check it out and see what others are doing in your area of expertise.
