The more people that talk about your company in a positive way, the more people will come to your website and check out what you are offering. The hard part about press is that it’s not easy to get the attention of the major outlets. But it is easy to get the attention of blogs. One way to get press is to email bloggers asking if they would like to interview you. Although that sounds silly, a small percentage of the bloggers you email will say yes. Don’t be shy; ask bloggers if they would be interested in interviewing you. What’s the worst thing that can happen… they’ll say no?
Professional bloggers have the same problem you do. They have to have material to blog about and many are happy to have someone to interview as long as your subject matter matches up with their target market and niche.
When you email them give them as much information as you can about your niche, your website address and any other social media information you have. They are going to want to do some research on you before they invite you to share with their audience.
One tip when being interviewed is ask beforehand if you make any type of sell. Most of the time you are free to share your website with their audience and sometimes your products but you want to be respectful of them.
