Social Media Platforms & Tools

www.srsvirtualassistant.comHow many social media platforms are you involved in? Two, three, four, don’t know because there are so many. That it probably true for many of us, so many social media sites to become involved in but trying to keep up with them all and use them all effectively can become a huge headache. I know that it is for me.

I wanted to share with you several different ways and tools to keep up with your social media. Now if you are a Facebook and Twitter fan and like to schedule your posts ahead of time one of the best ways to do it is right on your Facebook Fan Page. There are several reasons to do it that way, here is a link to a short video to explain how and why to do this. Also, if you hook your Facebook Fan Page up to your Twitter account it will help feed your Twitter feed.

Another favorite tool I use is called Hootsuite.com & Tweetdeck.com both of these accounts help to manage and monitor your social media. They are a great source of help when it comes to watching each different platform you have. With the free account of Hootsuite you can monitor these different platforms; Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, foursquare, MySpace; WordPress and mixi. You can even download an app for Hootsuite.

So, don’t give up on your social media platforms just use some tricks and tools to keep all of them active and effective. And if I can ever help you with your social media needs please let me know.

This is a great post and reminder. I use Hootsuite and love it.

  2. I was a fan of Tweetdeck, until I noticed how many computer resources it sucked up. Now, I just use it on occasion- but have tweets integrated into my Outlook (pun intended), still

Hootsuite is not difficult at all you can have most of your social media set up on it and then schedule your posts. I couldn’t do without it.
