The Blind Leading the Blind In Marketing

If you don’t have a marketing plan how can you build and grow your business? You could be walking around in a large circle going nowhere and totally unaware of the lack of forward motion. How to make sure you and your business don’t fall into this trap?

The Need of a Marketing Blueprint

Write down the goals of your business in the beginning of building it. This can be difficult but it serves as a target. You might find the need to move and change the target but having one gives you focus and a plan to follow.

Develop an integrated marketing strategy. Contact your prospects through a number of marketing channels including direct marketing, Web site information, email and, of course, personal meetings. For example, you can use direct mail to drive traffic online to your Web site for product information, rate calculators and financial goals worksheets.

After you have your marketing strategy down you can create a plan that will lead you closer and closer to the target or goals you have already put into place. Have a true marketing plan. Develop a contact strategy consisting of direct mail, telemarketing, newsletters and special events such as seminars and other educational formats that are designed to build a relationship with your prospects over time.
