The Importance of Optimizing Your Facebook Fan Page

www.srsvirtualassistant.comLast week we talked about customizing your Facebook fan page. So, hopefully you thought about your branding and how you will use that to build a consistency with your target market.

Optimization Your About Section

Today, we are going to go over optimization. To optimize something is to make it as effective, perfect, or useful as possible, to make the best of. A great place to start is optimizing your about section of your fan page. This is where you can make it about you. Where are you from, what do you do, how can you help solve problems, who can you solve them for, how you can help, why do you help.

Be aware of your keywords and make sure to use them in your mission & description area. This is a perfect place to put in your calls to action. Add in an opt-in for a free gift you want to make available to the people who signed up for your page. You could offer your newsletter.

Consistent content

Content will make you king. You have spent this time working to optimize your about section so your target market can find you now its time to share your knowledge so you become the expert. I have a simple formula to add content to my fan page. 1. Entertain them. I usually have some picture that evokes emotions; funny or inspirational. 2. Inspire them with a quote. Easy to find inspirational quotes just google for them. There are hundreds to choose from. 3. Educate them with facts. I usually put my blog posts in these spots. I spend a long time with writing my blogs and sharing them again on my fan page helps get more life out of them.

Now, your Facebook fan page should be customized and optimized. You are off to a great start! If you need help along the way please contact me and I’ll be glad to help.

Share your Facebook fan pages below after you finish your optimization. I’d love to see them.
