If you have been in business for any period of time you have heard about newsletters and the importance of them. If your mind works anything like mine you would of thought, “oh yeah, what is the importance? It sounds like a lot of work!” But having a print newsletter for your customers can be a form of communication between you and readers.
Not sure what to put into a newsletter here are some great tips and ideas for you!
You can fill each edition with specials, tips and other timely information. One of the best lessons I have learned about newsletters is not to make them dull and boring. Your readers are not interested in long dry monologs about your industry.
Offer tips that can benefit them, then add flair with jokes, customer spotlights, puzzles, write ups about your employees or a story that can be related back to a product or service you have. Some light reading and a couple of personal interest stories along with something to make them chuckle is a good goal to have for your newsletter.
Because people like to take in their news in different forms it is wise to have a printed newsletter and also to have an electronic newsletter. I suggest that is you are serious about having a newsletter that you work to make it at least a monthly newsletter.
