Most of us spend a lot of time on social media with the most popular social media sites being Facebook or Twitter used for business. While we might not always be on Facebook for business I do have some good news so you don’t feel so guilty for the time you are on Facebook. I am going to share with you how to put a couple of things into place on your Facebook fan page so that you can draw customers from your social media sites to your client list. That way, you can indulge in your social media time and still be building your list.
Free gifts or Newsletter
But first let’s do some work. A couple of things you are going to have to figure out is if you want to offer a free gift such as an e-book or a white paper to get people interested in going over to your list or are you going to offer an invitation to receive a newsletter or weekly tips type of service. Both have a draw to them it just depends on your target market and what they prefer. I suggest having both available and located at different areas of your Facebook fan page.
There are so many different ways to use tabs and one of them is to offer your Facebook followers a subscription to your monthly newsletter or weekly tip. They would click on the tab and this would take them to a landing page to receive the newsletter or weekly tip. They would give their name and email in exchange for being signed up for the information you promised them. I would recommend putting some time into making this an appealing offer for the Facebook follower. They are probably blasted by newsletters from every company they have met online that is one of the reasons not to call your newsletter a newsletter. Weekly tips, emagazine, think of a unique name for the information you want to share with them.
I am going to share a little secret with you about what I do with my pictures. First, let me ask a question. Of your status updates which get the most interest, a post or a picture? Right, a picture always gets more views. People are drawn to a picture and if they enjoy it they will share it and then if you are really lucky you will get some viral views from it as well. Do you add a status above the picture? Did you know you could do that?
Here is what you do. Click photo/video then click the upload photos/video and there is where it says, “say something about this” you can add a comment in right there before you add the photo. And that is where you can ask a question, make a comment or…offer a free gift! You have to be unique with what you say and how you offer the gift here is an example. The picture is of a beautiful sunrise, I would say something like, Good Morning from SRS Virtual Assistant. Click here for a free e-book called Good Mornings. There would be a link they could click and it would lead them to a landing page which would do what the newsletter landing page did. That picture would be seen by my Facebook followers and by all virtual viewers.
I’d love to discuss this with you some more. Contact me and let’s set up a free 30 minute consult.
