Knowing and understanding what a USP is can be a difficult thing to grasp. But it’s so important because that is what is going to make you stand out from the crowd. What is that one thing you offer that nobody else does?
Your USP can be a skill that not everybody else in your business has or offers. Let’s do some brainstorming together and come up with a few ideas you could use as a USP.
You went and got some training and are certified.
You could offer a guarantee or some consulting for free that others in your field don’t offer.
Create a free gift such as a white paper for your service that will make it easier for your customer to use it. Maybe some more detailed instructions would help them.
All of these different ideas could be great USP’s. The important thing is for you to know what your USP is. You need to know why people should buy from you. Once you do, you’ll have no problem telling them. Then you use the USP’s in different ways in your marketing. You can put them on your website or use them in social media. Put them on your business cards or brochures.
