  2. The right virtual assistant is a great addition to any business venture. I use my graphic designer for much of the web related duties (she charges the same as my VA on an hourly basis and is better equipped for these tasks) but no matter who you delegate too it can be wonderful to have someone in place to manage overflow tasks. One thing I would recommend for people considering hiring out such tasks is they do so with someone who’s willing to teach you how to do it – just in case. Plus, understanding the process and issues helps you better deliver what’s needed to proceed smoothly.

I love how you mentioned learning how to do some of the tasks is important because I do agree there needs to be a level of knowledge there by the owner. But having someone to actually do the tasks daily can be the best use of time.

  3. You made a great case for setting up a business web site. I think many entrepreneurs try to do everything themselves. This can be very frustrating and time consuming. A good virtual assistant can really help with the nuts and bolts of getting a new web sit up and running. I really like the way you describe your service!

Thank you Janette. I love helping people with their business and in my mind a website is the first step in getting online and connecting with people which is what every business owner really needs to do. But with all their other work bringing in someone to help with the nuts and bolts can be the smartest thing to do.

  5. I’d be lost without the fantastic help I’ve received from people in setting up my Word Press site and otherwise getting stuff done. I have a fabulous VA who is a genius as is the person who is hosting my website. I did a lot of the work on the site myself, and what I lacked in technical know how regarding Word Press, they filled in and made it work for me. My VA set up the affiliate and estore systems giving me the time I need to create and market.

That is the beauty of a virtual assistant. You can use them in the area you need them in. So glad to know you a VA is a positive experience for you!

  7. This is why one needs to determine what services are needed. Not every VA is capable across the board. Decide what services you need, the ones at which you are not most adept, the ones that don’t let you use your best abilities- and then hone in on that VA service that complements your lack (of knowledge, desire, or elan)…
Check out SRS for just those needs.
